About Us
The U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Associations are non-profit organizations that exist across the United States. MWRs generate and encourage social activity among all U.S. Border Patrol employees, uniformed or non-uniformed, creating an environment of trust, motivation, and resiliency. It builds good fellowship and fosters relationships based on common interests, unity, welfare, mental health and purpose.
Such interests provide information, views, and services to USBP employees that contribute to improved morale and performance, agency operations, public service, employee recruitment, retention, and engagement, in accordance with Department of Homeland Security directives, rules, and regulations.
MWR association members, and their families, are encouraged by the MWR Board of Directors to engage in MWR funded events, to include social functions, work-group activities, athletic events, and/or other nonprofit activities deemed beneficial to promote the morale and welfare of our employees while achieving the goals of the association and/or the agency.
During this Centennial year as we honor and celebrate the U.S. Border Patrol’s past, present, and future, the MWRs across the nation will play a critical role in hosting and supporting the National Centennial Gala event in El Paso, Texas and other events throughout the year. Additionally, the MWRs have developed and made available for purchase commemorative memorabilia to honor the 100 years of the U.S. Border Patrol.
On behalf of the MWR Associations across the United States, we “Thank You” for your interest in our agency and the work being accomplished everyday by our USBP employees in the protection of our beloved USA. We appreciate you for your unwavering support and generosity.
